Who's Playing Who?

Megatips time again this week, and we now have the NRL under way to tip on as well. This could be a great advantage for Adrian and Matt, who both are coming off impressive performances last year. We also start Match of the Round Previews again this week, with the the Roosters vs Rabbitohs, Crusaders vs Brumbies and Brisbane vs Central Coast clashes all going under the microscope. Last week our man in NZ, Tomo Yee, took out  both the EPL and Super Rugby, which has set him up as the competition front runner early on. Will Adrian and Matt be able to hold off the new challenge, or will our staffers dominate this year? You know what to do… Time to get some MEGATIPS!

 

Match of the Round Previews

NRL

Roosters vs Rabbitohs

The big clash between traditional rivals to kick the season off. Last year’s grand finalists dominated this fixture last year, but if we think back to the previous year, it was quite different. Greg Inglis makes his debut for Souths, meaning that SKD will have his hands full in defence.  Matt, Adrian and Tomo backing the Rabbitohs, while The Phantom thinks the home side can get up. Should be a terrific game regardless of the result.

 

Super Rugby

Crusaders vs Brumbies

Two sides which have won many titles between them, this one is an interesting battle. The Crusaders are coming off a decent win against the ‘tahs, while the Brumbies are yet to produce under new coach Tony Rea. Should be tough for the Brumbies to win here, with a Crusaders side running on emotions. They’re pretty handy players as well. Just a note: you may have seen Brumby Jack injure himself on the sideline in his side’s loss to the Reds. He’s been cleared of serious injury, and is looking good for a return in the next home game against the ‘tahs. Apparently Tah Man is going to be there as well. A true battle for the ages.

A League

Brisbane vs Central Coast

What a fantastic final this is shaping to be. It’s the Mariners third crack at the A-League title, while Brisbane are making their first appearance in a Grand Final. Plenty of young superstars on both sides, should be a final for the ages. All four tipsters are backing the Roar, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the Central Coast aren’t going to let this one slide too easily.
