March 21, 2011 Leave a comment

Pt. 3 of my AFL Season Preview is here, and we’ve finally hit the Top 8! In 1997, the Adelaide Crows won the premiership from 5th place. This has been the only time a team has won the flag from outside the Top 4. Don’t try and tell these sides that however, because as they will say, anything can happen come September. These are the four teams that I think will be playing finals footy, but may just be an outside chance to be Premiers in 2011. Read more…

March 17, 2011 Leave a comment

In 1997, the Port Adelaide Power came into the AFL for the first time. Since then, there has not been a season in which there has been a greater amount of change than the one in which we are about to embark – Season 2011. Since the end of last season, a hoodoo has been broken, a teenage girl has set out to destroy both her and the football community’s reputation, and a cashed up new kid has arrived on the block. The Gold Coast Suns will be the talking point of the season, but when the games get under way, the turbulent off season will be all but forgotten. How will your team fare? In this article and over the next few days, I’ll be letting you know. Bring on the footy! Read more…
