Who's Playing Who?

Its that time of the week again, Megatips! The NRL is back for another week, as is the Super Rugby, whilst we welcome the EPL back after a week off for the FA Cup. Joining us for the first time, we welcome our new Chief Rugby Analyst David Shipton to the team, so be sure to check out his expert tips for the Super Rugby competition. This week we have a closer look at Chelsea vs Manchester City, Storm vs Titans, Bulls vs Stormers as our Match of the Round previews continue. EPL

Chelsea v Manchester City

This is shaping to be a great clash between two squads packed to the brim with match winners and superstars. It’s also a match with great significance in regards to the ladder- Chelsea are only 2 points behind City, and they have a game in hand. Torres is set to start in this one, after sitting on the bench for the majority of the 0-0 draw against FC Copenhagen mid-week. This will probably relegate Drogba to the bench, something which wont make him too happy I’m sure… Will Torres finally get a goal for Chelsea, or will Tevez and co run riot at The Bridge? Three of our tipsters are backing Chelsea, while the other two are a bit more conservative and are thinking a draw will be on the cards. Regardless, this is set to be a cracker of a game!

 

NRL

Melbourne Storm v Gold Coast Titans

Last week the Storm were able to grind out a 18-6 win over Manly, and grabbed themselves the two points for the first time in a while. With a depleted roster, the Melbourne side of old may have gone onto win that game much more comfortably, but there was still signs that this salary cap compliant side will be quite competitive in 2011. The Titans went down at home to the Dragons, which didn’t surprise many. It’ll be tough for them to grab a win in Melbourne, but Preston Campbell’s 250th game might inspire them to go on with it. Four tips for the Storm, while The Phantom is the only person game enough to back the away side.

 

Super Rugby

Bulls v Stormers

This is going to be a huge game between the two powerhouse sides of South African rugby, and last year’s grand finalists. Attack v Defence should be how this one plays out, and you just know that the players from both sides will be giving everything to get the win here, especially when this fixture (and the return game) could decide the fate of each side’s respective finals campaigns.  Not a lot of confidence shown in the Stormers, with all five tips in this one heading the way of the home side.
