Who's Playing Who?

Megatips is back for another week, and the for the first time we have a true MEGATIP weekend, with all four codes in play. The EPL is back after the international break, the NRL keeps kicking on, the AFL sees the debut of the Gold Coast Suns, whilst Super Rugby hits the mid-season. This week’s Matches of the Round include Man City vs Sunderland, Sydney Roosters vs Wests Tigers, Gold Coast vs Carlton and Sharks vs Stormers. Match of the Round Previews

EPL

Man City vs Sunderland

This is the only shining light in a rather average round of the EPL. All the sides will have welcomed the rest due to the International matches. Boateng is out for City, while Carlos Tevez could return after missing the 2-0 loss at the hands of Chelsea. Much of Sunderland’s hopes will be resting on the shoulders of forwards Gyan and Welbeck, but Man City should prevail in this one. Our tipsters certainly believe so!

NRL

Sydney Roosters vs Wests Tigers

Look forward to this one. A replay of the epic finals game last year, which was almost cruelly won by the Roosters. Plenty of new faces for both sides, with Mitch Brown, Jacob Miller, Geoff Daniela coming into replace Tuqiri, Lui and Lawrence. Sam Perrett is gone for a few months (ankle) while Kane Linnett has been dropped. Our tipsters are split, but we all agree on one thing- we want to see another fantastic game!

Gold Coast Suns vs Carlton

A very exciting time for the AFL, Gold Coast and fans alike- the Suns make their debut this weekend. There are so many questions- how will Hunt fair as an AFL player? How will the blend of experience and youth work for the Suns? Is Ablett going to be fully fit on such a big occasion? Will Carlton blow them off the park? The tips are split again- best of luck to everyone involved with the Suns, we hope the night is a big success!

Super Rugby

Sharks vs Stormers

As David said in his article for the week, the conference system is really working, and keeps on delivering fascinating matches. The Sharks will be returning home after their trip to London, where they went down to an impressive Crusaders side. The Stormers had a massive win at home against the Force, and could be a really good chance at the title this year. Tips are again split- either side could win, and this one could be very tight.
