Megatips time once again, and my goodness, there are quite a few games for us to think over this week. If you listened to this week’s podcast, you would have heard out matches of the round are: Manchester United v Everton, Sydney Roosters v St George Illawarra Dragons, Essendon v Collingwood and Reds v Waratahs. But first, last week’s results!

Manchester United v Everton
The last time these two sides met, we were given an absolute thriller. After Everton went one goal up in the first half, United fought back through Fletcher, Vidic and Berbatov. The game finished a 3-3 draw, with Cahill and Arteta snatching goals at the death. The road ahead for both sides is slightly different. Man U are on top in the Premier League, but face a trip to Germany for their semi-final tie against Schalke 04 in the Champions League. They also face Arsenal and Chelsea in the coming weeks, which will ultimately determine who takes out the Premier League title for this season. Everton on the other hand sit in 7th spot on the ladder, and are battling for a spot in Europe for next season. A win for United would give them a handy advantage heading into the last few rounds of the season, while Everton would be serious threats to taking one of the European spots. All of our tipsters are backing the Red Devils… but is an upset on the cards?

Sydney Roosters v St George Illawarra Dragons
The Dragons are flying, with their only loss of the season coming against local rivals Cronulla on a wet Monday night. The Roosters on the other hand are struggling at the moment. They sit in 10th place on the ladder, with only 2 wins from 6 starts. They look to be without Todd Carney now for a fair chunk of the season, so the halves combination that saw them through to a Grand Final wont be there to spark things in attack. While they will be fired up for this Anzac Day, it’s going to be a huge task to topple a Dragons outfit full of confidence. No one here is backing the Roosters… and who could blame us?!

Essendon v Collingwood
Anzac Day at the MCG… does it get any better than this?! Especially when both of these sides are showing some form. For Collingwood, it’s business as usual. They’ve been destroying teams, and don’t look like losing any time soon. Essendon have been the surprise packet so far in 2011, with players young and old flourishing under new coach James Hird. Just how will those younger players fair when they enter a packed out MCG? That’s anyone’s guess. They could rise to a whole different level, or they could be overwhelmed by the occasion. Everyone is tipping Collingwood, except for our new podcast member Tomo.
Super Rugby
Reds v Waratahs
In previous years, this would be an auto-tip- Waratahs by 13+. Things have changed now. The Reds are suddenly the premier team in the Australian conference, grabbing some big wins both away and at home. The Waratahs on the other hand are a bit hit and miss, smashing some sides… and then losing to the Cheetahs. In Sydney. That being said though, knowing the ‘tahs, they’ll come out dominate the Reds this week, and lose the Lions in Round 14. Only Matt is backing the away side, while the rest of the tipping crew are liking the Red’s chances.
