Who's Playing Who?

Megatips is with us- plenty of quality matches across all codes again. Although the EPL is decided, there are European places, and a relegation dogfight going on. In the NRL there is a reduced round with Origin on Wednesday. In the AFL, the big sides are starting to clear away, whilst the finals are nearing in the Super Rugby. Plenty happening, so lets get into it!

Everton v Chelsea

Adrian says… “Not a lot riding on this game, but as we look at the teams playing this weekend this game as the potential to steal the show, so to speak. For the home side, it has been a bit of a roller-coaster ride this season. That being said though, they sit in 7th spot, which isn’t a bad effort, especially for a club that doesn’t have a lot of spare cash to throw around. Chelsea on the other hand are no longer champions, after their faint late-season chances were extinguished last week. The side seems to be more concerned at the moment fighting between themselves for minutes, and we could very well be seeing the last of Drogba in Chelsea colours in this game. The majority of our tipsters are backing Chelsea to pull their finger out and put in a solid performance away, but surely the Toffees have a point to prove in front of their home fans…?”

Raiders v Bulldogs

Matt says… “In a smaller round, this game stands out for a few reasons. Firstly, Friday Night Football returns to the nation’s capital for the first time in a long time in the regular season. There is also the added spice of the Raiders massive win in Melbourne last week, and with both teams missing a couple of players in the Origin side, this game is massive. The Raiders may have turned it around last week, but the Bulldogs will be completely focused, and centres Josh Morris and Jamal Idris, both unlucky not to be playing on Wednesday night, will be out to prove the selectors wrong. For the Raiders, Matt Orford is still out, and the loss of Josh Dugan will probably see them struggle, despite his replacement Nathan Massey showing plenty of potential in the Toyota Cup. All of the Who’s Playing Who? experts are going with the Dogs (except Adrian), but anything can happen down in Canberra!”

Carlton v Geelong

The Phantom says…“Two sides that have been on a roll fight it out for the four points this week. Carlton are coming off the bye, and Geelong got the win over Collingwood last week. The passing of Geelong great Bob Davis will no doubt inspire the side, and the post game bye-curse and form line also point towards a Cats victory.”

Blues v Stormers

David Shipton says… “Should be a cracking game this week between the top NZ and SAF teams. Both will be looking for an improvement on last week’s efforts. The Blues will not want to give the Stormers a lead like the one they gave to the Reds whilst the Stormers will be looking for an improved second half performance. Will have to go with the Blues on this one, but it should be close, so I’ll take them by 12 or less.”
