Ewen Mckenzie, after your succesful experiment with Samo why don’t you take it further and sign a couple more Fijians, there is a massive number 8 forward that would be a bonus to the Reds, Sisa Kaumaebola, he is a devastating player who with his 130kgs would lock your scrum down tight, he was unfortunately Red carded on the say so of South African ref, Marius Yonkers in Fiji on Wednesday in the Pacific Cup game against Japan.
Why don’t the Australian franchises support our Pacific neighbours? Better still we need 4 more teams in the Super 15, lets call it the Super 19, Tonga, Fiji, Samoa and Japan, they are up to standard and need the competition.

Problem with the Aussie teams signing players from Fiji is that they have to be marquee players for them to do that (That is assuming they have already played for Fiji). Otherwise the Fijian players would be forced to represent Australia (as are all players who play in Australia aside from marquee players). Would love to see the islanders get a shot in this competition, maybe as the pacific islanders? get that going again?
