EPL Rd6 Man City-Everton Result –  Manchester City @ $1.40 – Sorry to the Phantom, but Man City were on a bit of a roll until they met Fulham last week, and they will be out to avenge that and get back to challenging Man Utd with a win this week.

NYC PF Nth Qld U20-Cronulla U20 Margin – Nth Qld U20 1-12 @ $3.10 – The Cowboys disposed of the dangerous Tigers in the first week and got a week off, but face a Sharks side who have plenty of FG experience. Alas, I still think the Cowboys will get home, but it will be much closer than the other preliminary final.

AFL-  Collingwood vs Hawthorn- Collingwood first to 15pts @ $1.54- This epic encounter was my pre season tip for the Grand Final, and it has come a week early. The Hawks put the cleaners through a disappointing Swans lineup 7 days ago, but the Pies will be another proposition completely. They will fly out of the blocks and get the Black & White army up & about, making it a very tough night for the Hawks.

EPL- Man City vs Everton Draw @ $4.30- This might seem like a ridiculous waste of money, but hear me out. The Toffees won both clashes with City last year, and took 15/30 points against the top 5 sides. They lift for the big games, and will push City right to the final whistle.

RWC- Australia vs USA- Kurtley Beale to score a double @ $2.30- I got absolutely burnt by the Wallabies last week, but I’m sticking with them to bounce back. In what is likely to be a fairly one sided affair, Kurtley will run riot & cross the stripe more than once.

THE PHANTOM’S BROWNLOW MEDAL SPECIAL

In my view, this year’s Brownlow Medal is down to a race in 2. Both players would become amongst the most decorated player of all time, adding a record equalling 3rd Brownlow medal to their premiership medallions, All-Australian Awards, Club Best & Fairest Awards and, in the case of one, an Norm Smith Medal.

The two I speak of are of course Adam Goodes & Chris Judd. Between them, they have shared 4 of the past 9 Brownlow Medals, and are sure to poll well again this season. After a blistering start to the season, Judd has for much of the year been the shortest priced Brownlow favourite in living memory, whilst 7 Best on Ground performances in the last 2 months of the season saw Goodes charge in from $34 to $5 to win the AFL’s most prestigious individual award. They will finish 1 & 2, but which of the two triumphs takes out the final prize is anyone’s guess. My best Brownlow bet – Judd/Goodes Quinella @ $4.50
