The Punt #39

We had three winners last week, with Tomo continuing his good form, Matt getting himself in the black, and Adrian finally grabbing his first win of the year. Despite this, he is still firmly rooted to the bottom of the ladder, so will need to continue to win if he is any chance of moving away from the wooden spoon position. Podcast- Series 3 Episode 5

The band is back together again this week, as the podcast returns. We talk everything in sport, from Origin, to AFL to the NBA finals, as well as another big rant from a special guest. We’re joined by some of NSW’s heroes from Game Two, including Akuila Uate, Jamie Soward and coach Ricky Stuart. Tomo also gives us an update from earthquake stricken Christchurch, and we go through all the weekend’s action from the NRL, AFL and Super Rugby. The Final Buzzer – NBA Finals Mega Preview (29/5/11)

Another ridiculous round of playoff basketball and we finally arrive at the NBA Finals! 16 teams started and now only the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat are still standing. These two teams are your 2011 NBA finals teams. The stars aligned (not for me though- R.I.P Phil Jackson Laker era,1999-2004, 2005-2011) and we now get a 5 year on rematch of the 2006 NBA finals. Will the result be the same? Who is currently the more unstoppable force, Dirk or LeBron? Can Dirk redeem himself from the last time they faced each other in the Finals? Read more…

The Final Buzzer – Conference Final Previews (17/5/11)

Wow. What a difference two weeks makes in the NBA! The Lakers and Celtics were tossed from the playoffs by the inform Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat to ensure that two other teams will be in the NBA finals for the first time since 2007. Surprising doesn’t even begin to explain how the playoffs are playing out. Epic is probably more fitting. If the NBA is heading towards a lockout, then the NBA are definitely putting on a show before we get there. Now it’s time to dive into the Conference Finals previews. Read more…
