NRL Round 12/AFL Round 10/Super Rugby Round 15 Megatips
Megatips is back for another week. The EPL is finished for another season, meaning we’re left with only three codes… There’s still a fair few games to get through, so let’s get stuck into some MEGATIPS!

Match of the Round Previews
NRL
Dragons v Tigers
Matt says…”A replay of last year’s epic preliminary where the Dragons controversially got away with a one point victory after a Jamie Soward field goal on the back of a ridiculous call by referee Shayne Hayne in regard to a knee in the back of Tigers winger Lote Tuqiri. To stop my rambling, I’ll move on to this year’s version. The Dragons could have up to eight players backing up from Origin, although it is highly unlikely that Dean Young will play. They are the yardstick of the competition, and the Tigers will have to improve considerably after possibly their worst winning performance in 10 years last week. They may welcome back Gareth Ellis, and while he won’t be 100% he will make a difference. I’m tipping the Tigers, but most of the WPW experts are going against me.”
AFL
Western Bulldogs v Hawthorn
The Phantom says…“Two very different stories heading into this game. The Bulldogs are coming off a 123 point towelling at the hands of the West Coast Eagles, with Josh Kennedy grabbing a lazy 10 goals, 3 behinds (63 points in total). The Bulldogs only managed to get 8.4.52. You read that right. One man outscored an entire team. On the other hand, Hawthorn managed to get their first win in Sydney for a thousand years. Now that is impressive. The Bulldogs will be incredibly embarrassed, and back in front of their home fans, wont want to be coping another hiding. However, it’s very tough to see them getting up in this one… The Hawks are playing some great footy, and guess who backed them to finish at the top of the ladder? Yours truly.”
Super Rugby
Reds v Crusaders
David Shipton says… “These are two teams on fire, with both looking odds on prospects to finish in the Top 6. Both should be at full strength (relatively) which would leave us with a cracker. The Reds and Crusaders have game breakers that can rip teams apart, but it should be noted that the one with the best defence should take it out. I’m going to say the Crusaders by 12 points or less as I believe they have enough class in their team to take the close games out. This should be very tight; hopefully the weather plays its part and allows a free running game.”
