The Punt #3
After only two weeks, we’ve started to see the dollars rolling in! Both Adrian and The Phantom’s bets got up… Can they do it again this week, or will the rest of the pack catch up?
Ladder
(Total)(Change from last week)
1. Adrian ($88) (+$98)
2. The Phantom ($67.80) (+$77.80)
3. David (-$20) (-$10)
3. Matt (-$20) (-$10)
3. Tomo (-$20) (-$10)

Matt
St George to beat Manly 1-12 @$3 (The Dragons need to win this one to regain some of their lost momentum) & Blues try – first scoring type @3.75 (The home side will come out firing against the Tahs, and will want to put one on them early) = $11.25
Adrian
Most Tries Scored- Nathan Merritt over Gerard Beale @ $3.50 (Merritt knows how to score a try, so I’m hoping for his sake and for the rest of the team that he scores a thousand!) & First Score Type- Collingwood Goal @ $2.90 (The defending premiers will look to start strongly against a Swans side that was disappointing last week. Let’s see if the Pies can break the bye hoodoo.) = $10.15
The Phantom – “The Bad Guys Quadrella”
Collingwood def Sydney by 40-59pts @ $4.25 (the Magpies are the defending champions, coming off a week’s break, welcoming back some of their guns and playing against a team they have beaten 9 times in a row. The Pies are going to give the Swans an absolute pummelling) + Novak Djokovic def Kevin Anderson in straight sets @ $1.22 (despite losing in the semi-finals at Roland Garros, The Djoker is still the hottest player in the world at the moment, and will have no trouble in dispatching world #36) + Crusaders def Sharks by 13+pts (the Sharks just scraped in to the Super Rugby finals, and the trip to Nelson first up will be too much) + Blues def Waratahs by 13+pts (the Tahs have no hope, missing Barnes, Polota-Nau, Halangahu, Burgess & probably Palu. This could get messy, and is likey to be a sad way for Australian Rugby great Phil Waugh to leave the game) = $18.51
Tomo
WIM Men Rd2 Soderling-Hewitt 23/06 – Set Betting
SODERLING Robin 3-1 @ $3.60 – It’s about time for Hewitt to be eliminated. I have confidence that he can take a set from Soderling but i expect Soderling to control this match and take it confortably.
SRg EF Crusaders-Sharks 25/06 – Half Time Margin
Crusaders 8-14 @ $3.50– The Crusaders have never lost a homeplayoff semi final. No South African team has won a playoff game on NZ soil. I dont’t expect either of these facts to change. I expect the Crusaders to open a comfortable lead to take into half time before switching gears in the 2nd half to beat the Sharks by at least 25. = $12.60
David
Crusaders Penalty Goal – first scoring type @ $2.65 (The Crusaders will come out all guns blazing and the Sharks will be keen to only let a penalty early on in the game as opposed to a try) & Melbourne/Warriors – Half/Full Double @ $7 (Melbourne to take the early lead but the Warriors will come back and win it) = $18.55
