NRL Round 22/AFL Round 20 Megatips
It’s your favourite time of the week… MEGATIPS! It’s the ‘Close the Gap’ round in the NRL, and our tipsters will be looking to do so, with Tomo well clear in the NRL at this point. The AFL gives us some potentially one-sided results this round, but there are also some games which have proved difficult to tip. We’ve been on fire across the board the last few weeks, so head on in and see who we’re backing this weekend!

Tigers v Dragons
Matt says…”The 2005 and 2010 preliminary final rivalry re-ignites this week as the Tigers take on the Dragons. On the 50 year anniversary of three straight Grand Final losses by Wests to St George in 1961-1963, the Tigers are honouring their Wests Heritage, but will be hopeful of turning those results around. They come into the game with an unchanged side, only Wade McKinnon again named on the bench, while the Dragons welcome back Dean Young from injury. The Dragons are coming off two losses, both giving up convincing leads, with coach Wayne Bennett questioning their motivation and heart. This will only fire them up more as they take on a Tigers side fresh from three straight wins, the last of which was a second half Benji Marshall masterclass as they ran down one of the competition heavyweights in Manly. The individual match-ups between Marshall and Soward, Lawrence and Gasnier, Ellis and Creagh are mouth-watering and will determine the outcome of the game. Be sure to tune in for this blockbuster with a lot on the line. I’m going with the Tigers, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like there is much support with me with only Adrian also backing the home side.”
AFL
Essendon v Sydney
The Phantom says…“Two sides battling for finals places line up on Saturday night. The Swans sit in sixth position, despite having the bye last week. The Bombers are 2 points out of the eight, but a win here could see them enter the top half of the competition and propel them towards the finals. There’s a good chance the loser may find themselves out of favour heading into the last few rounds of the regular season, so it’s a vital game for all involved. The Bombers have lost Tom Bellchambers, Brent Prismall and Travis Colyer, with Dustin Fletcher, Heath Hocking and Michael Hurley all included. No changes for the Swans. It’s a split round, with Matt and Essendon tragic Tomo backing the home side, while Adrian, David and myself are on the visitors. “
