NRL Grand Final/AFL Grand Final/EPL Gameweek 7 Megatips
Time for… MEGATIPS. We’ve reached the grand final stage in both the NRL and AFL, and because of the occasion, we’re making things a bit more interesting. 10 points are up for grabs for anyone who correctly tips the winner in both games, meaning anyone could still take out the tipping. The EPL also gives us a fantastic round of matches, so head on in to see our previews and exclusive tips!

NRL
Sea Eagles v Warriors
Matt says…”The final game of the season is, well, FINALLY here. Two teams that people definitely weren’t expecting to play on the first Sunday in October, but that’s what the NRL is about. The Sea Eagles are in tremendous form, particularly their young halves Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran. They will control the play, despite their inexperience, and probably determine whether the Sea Eagles win their second grand final in four seasons. The Warriors owe their spot in the grand final to the McIntyre System, after they lost 40-10 in the first week of the finals from sixth, yet stayed alive. They somehow beat the Tigers then methodically disposed of the Storm. James Maloney has been in good form (not good enough for the Four Nations squad as some people would have you believe) and is allowing Shaun Johnson to work his magic. If Johnson has a blinder, along with Feleti Mateo and Kevin Locke, the Warriors are in with a chance, but I just can’t go past Manly for the win.”
AFL
Collingwood v Geelong
The Phantom says…“Probably two of the best sides over the last few years finally face each other in a grand final. Collingwood only lost two games this season, both of which were to Geelong. Since losing to Sydney at home, the Cats have been in good form, improving each week. It’s going to be a very close game, with injuries potentially ruining things for both sides. I can hardly separate them, but for me it should be Geelong – the wet weather predicted for Saturday afternoon should help the Cats, especially their tough inside players like Joel Selwood and Jimmy Bartel. But, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if there is less than a kick in it.”
EPL
Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal
Adrian says… “The North London derby heats up this weekend, as Spurs and Arsenal take to White Hart Lane. Both are now genuine top four sides (well, perhaps not Arsenal currently!), and history shows these are always memorable encounters. EA have just released FIFA 12, and have simulated this match with the brand new title (click here to see the video.) They predict a 3-1 victory to Arsenal, but I really can’t see this happening. I’ve been impressive with Spurs’ form in the last few games. Adebayor seems to have really fitted in well, and Modric is showing exactly why he was targeted by clubs over the summer. I’m backing Tottenham, but not everyone agrees with me.”
