Socceroos Squad for World Cup Qualifiers

Socceroos coach Holger Osieck has named his 23 man squad to take on Oman and Thailand in upcoming qualifiers. The squad features the return of three big names, as well as a couple of bolters.

Harry Kewell, Brett Emerton and Mark Schwarzer have all been named for their return to the Socceroos line-up by Osieck today, who also gave a shock start to Aston Villa defender Chris Herd and Brisbane Roar midfielder Mitch Nichols.

The squad will meet in Dubai early next week for a short training camp ahead of their 2014 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Oman (Muscat, 11 November 2011) and Thailand (Bangkok, 15 November 2011).
