The Punt #31
2012 unfortunately started much like 2011 – nobody was able to cash in. We’re still all stuck on the same amount. Perhaps this week we’ll see a breakthrough?
Ladder
(Total)(Change from last week)
1. David (-$10) (-$10)
1. Matt (-$10) (-$10)
1. Tomo (-$10) (-$10)
1. James (-$10) (-$10)
1. Adrian (-$10) (-$10)

Matt
A-League – CC Mariners v Newcastle Jets – CC Mariners Win @ $1.50 – The Mariners have become a major force under Graham Arnold, and despite losing Matt Simon, they still have the best defence in the A-League and some wonderful attacking players. They should fire up for the F3 Derby and grab all three points, all but securing the premiership plate.
&
ATP Sydney International Winner – Marcos Baghdatis @ $2.35 – Haven’t seen much of this tournament, but Baghdatis has a very good record in Australia, and with a limited amount of stars in Sydney, should be good enough to take out the title for the second time after beating top seed Juan Martin Del Potro.
= $3.52
Adrian
Serie B – Vicenza v Brescia – Vicenza @ $2.30 – A draw last week wasn’t bad against a top six side, so I’m expecting a win here.
&
Serie B – Torino v Ascoli – Torino @ $1.50 – 1st v 22nd. Surely I can’t lose this one.
= $3.45
James
A-League – Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United – Victory @ $1.95
&
English Football League Championship – Middlesbrough v Burnley – Middlesbrough @ $2.00
= $3.90
Tomo
NFL – Green Bay v NY Giants – Giants @ $4.00 – I sense a huge upset is on the cards.
&
Tennis – ATP Auckland – Ferrer v Verdasco – Ferrer @ $1.40
= $5.60
David
Australia @ $1.70 – India are not playing well enough. Aus for the win.
&
T3 Aust-Ind 1stInnings Lead 13/01 – 1st Innings Lead – @ $1.50 And they should win big. Like build a huge first innings lead and not bat again type of lead.
