Seal earns a call-up to State of Origin II

Look out ANZ Stadium…

Queensland searching for their seventh-straight Origin title? New South Wales, with their backs against the wall, looking to send the 2012 series into a decider? No, the big story heading into Origin II is the choice of pre-game entertainment. It’s none other than Seal.

“British superstar Seal will experience the unrivalled emotion of the Harvey Norman State of Origin Series as he plays to a crowd of 84,000 Rugby League fans at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium tomorrow night.

“The international headline entertainer who has been one of the driving forces behind the runaway success of “The Voice” will perform “Crazy” on a night where just being part of the crowd is entertainment in itself.”

We here at WPW don’t know why he’s picked out Crazy… Surely he could have gone with a song that wasn’t released 22 years ago? How about Amazing?

So after Delta Goodrem got us off and running in Melbourne, it’s over to Seal. What do you make of his selection? We’ve opened up a poll below.

Went with Yes? Why is the man for the job? If you picked No, who would you go with instead? Leave a comment below.

Who said we’re not a serious sports website…?
