Needs more cheer

On Sunday night, I set off to ANZ Stadium for the annual pre-season fixture, the Charity Shield, played between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons. It was a pretty alright game for a trial, with the Dragons proving to be far too strong in the end, finishing up victors 32-10.

Nintendo 3DS Australian Launch Event Coverage

After much hype and speculation, the Nintendo 3DS was revealed to the gathered gaming media on Tuesday night in a rather crowded pier in Sydney’s Dawes Point. I’ve got to say, going into the event I hadn’t kept up with a lot of the specific details on the system, so I was going in with an open mind, ready to be impressed.

Come on… You know it will be. I thought I’d take a look at each of the groups, and rate the chances of each of the nations. This could be interesting. Read more…

For my second blog post, I thought I’d try something a little different. I’m going to move away from sport for a second, so we’ll see how all this turns out.

The end of this year signaled a bit of a mix up in radio land, with numerous hosts in Sydney and around the national networks switching stations and time slots. Add to this the return of one very prominent figure in Australian radio, and I think that it’s an incredibly interesting and exciting time for those who tune into their wireless (and I mean, who doesn’t?!) NRL Draft?

December 16, 2010 Leave a comment

The winds of change are blowing through the NRL. The long talked about and much hyped Independent Commission is not too far off now, and with it comes a renewed sense of hope and vigour for the future of the game. The current arrangement has been a bit of a balancing act, and it’s time for a change. With the Commission, it is hoped that fresh ideas are bought to the table to help maximise the great product that rugby league provides. This is why I propose, along with a few other changes, that we introduce a draft system into the NRL. Read more…
