This evening the player that has arguably defined the new NRL era will play his final game, amazingly in today’s climate for the club that he began with just over 10 years ago. I will start by declaring that I am a Benji admirer – that might sounds like most rugby league fans, but the reality is I’m one of the minority.

Super Rugby Preview – Special Drawing Board Edition

Hello and welcome to our 2013 Super Rugby preview. Super rugby starts early this year, and will take on a slightly different format as a consequence.  The reason for this is that the Australian teams need to accommodate the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia during the mid-year break.

The Drawing Board (31/05/12)

Hello and welcome to Who’s Playing Who?’s weekly rugby blog. This is turning out to be a really tight season. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, some teams (namely the Hurricanes, Reds, Sharks and Waratahs) needed to act quick to reign in the leaders, and three of them have. This has caused the log to become so tight, that one loss could send you spiralling down the ladder. I’m almost a bit disappointed now that the June internationals are coming, as I would have loved to have seen how some of these teams handled the pressure. Read more…
