Digital TV is GO!
It seems nowadays all our traditional media are slowly yet surely gravitating towards digital technology. Newspapers are strengthening their online distribution models (with the iPad becoming a device of greater significance than was first thought), and Radio is transitioning to its own digital service. We kick the year off with our predictions for the year ahead, preview the group stage of the Asian Cup, as well as the usual A-League Match of the Round. Australia finally put to bed by world class English
Rain has been unsuccessful in saving Australia from defeat in the 5th Test, with the English claiming the final 3 wickets on the final morning to claim an innings and 83 run victory. A Ashes record score of 644 in the first innings put Australia out of the match, before the pace trio of Jimmy Anderson (3-61), Tim Bresnan (2-51) and Chris Tremlett (3-80) rolled through a feeble Australian batting line up, bowling them out for 281. Another year over, and the cabinet remains empty……
As we look back at 2010, a tumultuous year for some sports, a groundbreaking year for others, but an unfortunate one for Australia. Apart from a few stand out performers, the trophy case is basically empty from 2010 for Australia, and now we have to look back at how and why this is so. So I’ll just take you through each major sport and our apparent failure in each, and look to see if anything will be different in 2011. Read more…
