The Punt #7
No winners again last week… and as a result, some of our punters have gone for more conservative multis in order to regain some cash. Others though are taking a different approach, going for the big prize in order to shoot themselves into the lead. The Phantom and Adrian are still in positive territory, but are leaking cash every week, and as for the others… well, they better win soon! Head on in to see if this is finally the week we get some more winners.

NRL Round 20 – Bulldogs-Eels – To Score a Try -Justin Horo @ $3.00 – Although he’s been named in the back-row, Horo plays pretty wide out and will be running at the halfs of the Bulldogs, and is a big chance to score.
&
AFL Round 18 – Gold Coast-Collingwood – Gold Coast w/ start (+74) @ $2.10 – The Gold Coast may not get anywhere near the Magpies this week, but I can’t see Collingwood beating them by that many, particularly in the current situation.
&
Tri-Nations Game One – Australia-South Africa – James O’Connor First Try Scorer @ $10 – O’Connor missed out against Samoa, and will be keen to get a try on the board to kick off a big World Cup year!
=$63.30
Adrian
Copa America Final- Uruguay to beat Paraguay @ $2.02- I’ve used them before in The Punt and they let me down… don’t do it a second time! Please?
&
NRL- Bulldogs v Eels- First Scoring Team Wins? Yes @ $1.60- I’m looking for a solid game from the Eels. With players now settled in their new positions, surely they can go on with the job?
&
Tri Nations- Australia v South Africa- Highest Scoring Half- 2nd Half @ $1.83- Tired bodies + fresh substitutes = more points… right?
= $5.91
The Phantom – This week testing sportsbet.com.au
Copa America Final – Uruguay vs Paraguay – First goal to be scored after the 27th minute @ $2.05 – Paraguay have achieved the miraculous feat of reaching the final without actually winning a game in normal or extra time (3 group stage draws before winning the quarter & semi in a shootout), and did this on the strength of their defence. Uruguay’s attacking prowess of Suarez & Forlan will definitely score, but it could take them a while.
&
NRL – Manly def Penrith by 1-12 points @ $3.05 – With the torrential rain which has hit Sydney this week, it won’t be a high scoring game, but Manly will get the job done.
&
Tri Nations – Australia vs South Africa – Kurtley Beale to score a try at any time @ $4 – When he came on late last week against Samoa, Beale nearly single handedly turned the game back in the Wallabies favour, and is coming off the back of a scintillating Super Rugby season. He also has a good record against the Springboks – Who will ever forget that stunning kick in Bloemfontein last season…
= $25.01
Tomo
Tri Nations- Australia v South Africa- 1st Stoppage in Play – Lineout/Throw In @ $2 – No real reason, just a roll of the dice
&
Tri Nations- Australia v South Africa- Winning Team & Margin – Australia by 13+ @ $2.95 – I see Australia rebounding with a win, and a big one at that.
=$5.90
David
NRL R20 Souths-Warriors – Margin – Warriors 13+ @ $3.75 – The Warriors are going to win this one in a bit of a blow out. Their attack is getting going and if they get out to a lead
&
NRL R20 Melbourne-Brisbane – Margin – Melbourne 1-12 @ $3 – The Storm are going to win this one, its going to be tight though with the Bronco’s playing well so far.
= $11.25
