State of Origin Game 1 2012 – Predictions

We’re not far away from the first game in the State of Origin series for 2012, so we’ve decided to round up the WPW crew for their predictions for the match.

Who’s going to win Game 1 and why?

Matt: NSW by 4 – Tipping with my heart not my head here, but I think Farah, Jennings, Hayne and an injection of big T-Rex will just get them over the line.

Adrian: Queensland by 2 – I think it will be close. It has to be. But the Queensland side just looks irrepressible – I can’t back against them. Certainly hoping I’ve got this wrong!

James: Queensland by 8 – Every year the Blues are talked up as having their best side since the beginning of Queensland’s run, and every year all us NSW fans end up disappointed as the Maroons do it comfortably and take control of the series.

Tomo: Queensland 12 and under – Lockyer’s presence will be missing for the first time since like forever, but Queensland should still have enough firepower to take the win.

David: Queensland by 6 – The Maroons minus Darren Lockyer will still be too good in Game 1, but it will be tight none the less. They are a good side still and will be up for the challenge.

So there you have it, the thoughts of the WPW team. More importantly, who do you think will win? Leave your predictions in the comments below, or find us on Facebook or Twitter.
