The Punt #56

Only David won last week, stretching his lead over Adrian and moving within striking distance of Tomo. Can anyone get a return this week?

Ladder

(Total)(Change from last week)

1. James ($322.70) (-$10)

2. Tomo ($232.10) (-$10)

3. David ($199.10) (+$52.30)

4. Adrian ($28.40) (-$10)

5. Matt ($27.40) (-$10)

Matt

NRL Rd21 – Broncos def Eels @ $1.24 – The Broncos need a win after a disappointing performance against the Titans last week, and the Eels have had their win for the month so I can’t see them getting the points at Suncorp.

&

London 2012 Womens Basketball – Australia def France @ $1.33 – No real science in this one, the Opals are on track to medal and I think they’ll be too strong for France.

=$1.64

Adrian

NRL – Is Nathan Full Back Where He Belongs – Merritt 1 Try v Tigers @ $2.75 – Stupid name for this one, but I think Merritt will bag one back at the… back.

&

NRL – BB Guns – Barba/Bowen Over 1.5 Tries @ $2.25 – Can’t wait to see these two in the same game. I think they’ll put on an absolute clinic.

= $6.19

James

NRL- South Sydney def Wests Tigers @ $1.28- The Tigers have been decimated by injuries, and it will take more than a miracle for them to take the 2 points this week.

&

NRL- Brisbane def Parramatta @ $1.30- I think the Eels had their monthly good game last week, and the Broncos should get it done easily.

&

Super Rugby- Crusaders def Chiefs @ $1.58- The boys in Black & Red always seem to find a way to get the job done at this time of year, and I expect them to make it back to back finals.

Olympics- Soccer: Spain def Japan @ $1.36- It might just be the U23s, but the Spaniards should still have too much class for the Blue Samuari.

= $3.58

Tomo

S15 – 27/7 – Crusaders vs. Chiefs – Winning team & Margin – Crusaders 12 & Under – @$2.50 – It’s semi finals time! To be honest, I think the Chiefs will be worse off with the week off and two consecutive losses (one of which was to the Crusaders). The Crusaders on the other hand are coming off an impressive win, getting the monkey/bull off the back by playing some smart rugby against the Bulls. The Crusaders are in better form, and even though the Chiefs are at home, I don’t think that home advantage will matter. Crusaders in a close one.

&

NRL – 28/7 – Sea Eagles vs. Warriors – Head to Head – Warriors @ $2.40 – ‘The Beast’ Manu Vatuvei steps in as Captain. Expect every call to go the Warriors way. I mean seriously…would you tell him he’s wrong?

= $6.00

David

Super Rugby – Chiefs v Crusaders – Crusaders @ $1.62 – Expect unrelenting urgency and intensity from both sides, but the team that’s able to soak up the pressure best will ultimately claim the spils. Crusaders to take it out!

&

Super Rugby – Stormers v Sharks – Sharks @ $2.30

Prediction: This is going to be a tight game, with the main battle occurring between the Sharks attack and the Stormers defence. For me, the Sharks should take it out

= $3.73
