Matt
ODI – Australia def West Indies @ $1.55 – The Windies will provide excellent entertainment for the Aussie crowds, particularly their batsman with plenty of power hitting and flair, but I’m not sure Kemar Roach and Sunil Narine can hold their bowling attack up on their own.
&
Super Bowl – Baltimore def San Francisco @ $2.40 – It’s the Ravens time this year, they have slowly built towards this since victory in 2001 and will want to send Ray Lewis out a winner.
= $3.72
Adrian
A-League – Roar v Mariners – Roar @ $2.45 – Surprised to see the home side as the favourites, but with the inclusion of Jade North and Stef Nijland as well as Berisha and Stefanutto returning from suspension, an upset is on the cards.
&
A-League – Adelaide United v Wanderers – WSW @ $2.55 – They say a side is most dangerous after losing their manager, but I still think the visitors should have enough to handle Adelaide, particularly given their last encounter. 6-1, anyone?
= $6.25
James
EPL- Everton def Aston Villa @ $1.40- The Toffees are gunning for a Champions League place, and they should have too much class for a struggling Villa.
&
EPL- QPR def Norwich @ $1.95- Despite being bottom of the league, QPR have been playing some good football and are tough to beat at home under Harry.
&
A-League- Melbourne Victory def Melbourne Heart @ $1.67- After getting the derby monkey off their back last time, I expect the Victory to be too strong.
&
NBA- OKC def Memphis @ $1.18- No brainer – Thunder by a mile.
&
6 Nations- Wales def Ireland @ $1.68- The start of the 6 nations means the start of the trials for the Lions tour to Australia, and I think the Welsh boys will get their campaign under way in style.
= $9.04
Tomo
NBA – Grizzlies vs. Thunder – Thunder @ $1.22 – Like we predicted in the podcast, Rudy Gay was traded to the Toronto Raptors and now the Grizz have to play OKC in OKC. There’s a reason why the Thunder are heavy favourites. Without Gay, OKC can double down on Gasol and ZBo and stifle the Grizzlies offense.
&
IRB Wellington 7s – New Zealand @ $1.70 – The All Black 7’s are gunning for their 3rd straight Wellington title. Here’s hoping the boys get the job done.
= $2.07
David
Six Nations – Wales v Ireland – Wales @ $1.65 – Wales are a good side, but have endured a horror run in terms of results, dating back to the Australian tour last year. They are too good a side not to come right, and they will be motivated to prove that they can make up the majority of the Lions squad.
&
African Nations Cup – AFC-QF-South Africa v Mali – South Africa @ $1.65 – South African football has largely underachieved in the last 15 years at wining anything meaningful, but they have a great shot at doing well at this tournament. I’m backing them to make a semi-final appearance.
= $2.72
Ruben
A-League – Phoenix v Glory – Phoenix @ $2.20 – Favourites?! You bet!
&
Superbowl – San Francisco @ $1.55 – Despite what a lot of people are saying, 49ers for mine.
= $3.41
