AFL Season 2012 Preview – A Giant Year Awaits
It has been 5 and a half months since Geelong defied all the odds to be crowned 2011 AFL Premiers, and the excitement and build up for a season has never been bigger than this. Season 2012 will be the biggest yet, with the competition welcoming in it’s 18th club, the Greater Western Sydney Giants, and whilst the boys in orange & charcoal are unlikely to be challenging for the premiership themselves, there are likely to be more genuine premiership contenders than ever before. Since the end of last season, a hoodoo has been broken, a teenage girl has set out to destroy both her and the football community’s reputation, and a cashed up new kid has arrived on the block. The Gold Coast Suns will be the talking point of the season, but when the games get under way, the turbulent off season will be all but forgotten. How will your team fare? In this article and over the next few days, I’ll be letting you know. Bring on the footy! Read more…
