Podcast – Episode 39
Who’s Playing Who? returns for the Summer Series! You might have noticed the numbering has changed – that’s because it was getting too damn confusing.
Join Adrian, Matt and Tomo this week on the show, as they catch up on everything that’s happened since the last podcast in ‘Stuff you may have missed’, as well as taking a closer look at the recent drawn Cricket series in South Africa.
New to the show is the Commonwealth Games Update. They cross live to the Gold Coast where David Shipton chats to the people on the street ahead of the 2018 event. We can only hope he makes it out of there in one piece.
There’s all the usual A-League and EPL coverage, as well as Tomo’s Think Tank, and Adrian gets fired up in The Rant.
Get on it!
A-League Gameweek 6 Megatips
Time for… MEGATIPS. There’s no EPL this weekend due to the international break, meaning for one week only, Megatips isn’t so… mega… But, if you’re an A-League fan, head on in to see who we’re backing in the local game! Read more…
A-League Finals/FA Cup 5th Round Megatips
Again its Megatips time, and with Matt having found some form, whilst Adrian falls away at the end of the year. With the A-League moving into the finals, and the FA Cup reaching the business end, we have some great clashes ahead. Will Matt continue his dominance of Megatips, or will Adrian finally grab a late, hollow victory? The only way to find out is to check out our tips, and catch all the action on Fox Sports and Sentanta Sports. Read more…
NRL Expansion – Where to for the future?
The last couple of weeks has seen much written about the bids for an NRL franchise in 2013, and as an interested party, I will go through each bid, and analyse not only its pros and cons, but the realistic likelihood of the new Independent Commission choosing them to join the competition. A-League Week 20
We enter probably the most disheveled round of the A-League in terms of scheduling, the Christmas round, with teams playing all over the place, and at various times. This week also provides some very interesting clashes, with sides either fighting to keep their season alive, or pushing for a home semi final. So lets get on to the games… Read more…
A-League Week 18
…aaaand welcome to the first of our A-League previews! This week we take a look at Week 18, with our Match of the Round being the 2nd ever Melbourne Derby, as covered in the podcast. These are just our tips… Don’t hate us if we get them wrong!
Adelaide United vs North Queensland Fury
Matt’s Tip – Adelaide. They should be too good at home against a Fury side who struggle away from home, but have been on a good roll of late.
Adrian’s Tip – Adelaide. They might be 7 points behind the Roar, but they’ve got two games in hand. Always good at home, and a strong performance here should put them in good stead for a crack at the #1 spot.
Melbourne Victory vs Melbourne Heart (Podcast Match of the Round)
Matt’s Tip – Victory. The Heart have struggled to score goals in recent weeks, and the mid-week game against Newcastle showed this. An Archie Thompson inspired Victory should get them home in front of a massive derby crowd.
Adrian’s Tip – Victory. A very average performance mid-week from the Heart against a 10-man Newcastle side really doesn’t fill you with much confidence. Couple this with the Victory desperately wanting to get one back on the Heart after they won the first Melbourne Derby, and I’d say your money is safe if you backed the two-time A-League champions.
