Welcome to the Drawing Board, Who’s Playing Who?’s one stop rugby shop. A month yesterday (which was my birthday!!) to the Rugby World Cup and frantic last minute preparations for the teams involved are being made. Some are resting players, others are playing their top sides, and some are not even playing at all. World Cup squads need to be announced the Tuesday before the final Tri Nations match up between the All Blacks and the Wallabies, which gives them a match each to get their respective squads right. We’ve had another winner, with David’s conservative approach earning a small amount of cash to bring himself away from the bottom on the ladder. Adrian is still out on top by a fair distance. The Phantom has nearly squandered his earnings, and another bad week will see him back in negative territory for the first time in many weeks. The Drawing Board (3/8/11)
Welcome to the Drawing Board, Who’s Playing Who?’s one stop rugby shop. We’re only just over a month out from the start of the World Cup and it seems that everything is all go in terms of preparation for the big event. Whilst the players in the northern hemisphere are taking a break (and also the “injured” Boks!!), there are still positions to be played for in the southern hemisphere’s squads with the Tri Nations now in full swing. Wallabies Squad to play All Blacks
The following squad has been selected to travel to Auckland to face the All Blacks at Eden Park this Saturday night. The 24-man squad will have two players added for the South African leg of the Tri Nations, who will be picked up en-route to the republic. Read more…

Welcome to another instalment of The Drawing Board, Who’s Playing Who’s one stop rugby shop. It’s been a bit of a quite week in terms of the rugby being played, but the domestic competitions of both South Africa (Currie Cup) and New Zealand (ITM Cup) have both started up. The Wallabies have also played a test against Samoa in preparation for the Tri Nations, which I’ll be doing a short review on later.
